How to Make Call via SoftPhone

📞 Placing a Call

  1. Click the Dialpad icon from the menu bar.

  2. Enter the desired phone number.

  3. Press the Dial icon to start the call.

🎙️ Mute and Hold

  • Mute: Press the Mute button to silence your microphone. Press it again to unmute.

  • Hold: Press the Hold button to place the call on hold. Press it again to resume.

🔁 Transferring Calls

While on a call, you can transfer it to another PBX extension or an external number.

  • Transfer: Performs a blind transfer, sending the call directly to the destination.

  • Att Transfer: Performs an attended (warm) transfer, allowing you to speak to the recipient first.

Steps:

  1. Press Transfer or Att Transfer.

  2. The original caller is placed on hold and the dial pad appears.

  3. Enter the destination number.

  4. Press Transfer or Dial, depending on the transfer type.

For an attended transfer:

  • You’ll connect with the recipient first.

  • Press Transfer to complete the handoff or Cancel to return to the original caller.

👥 Conferencing a Call

  1. While on a call, press Add Call.

  2. Enter the number of the person you want to add, then press Dial.

  3. Once connected, press Join to merge all participants into a conference.

🚪 Logging Out

To log out of Cloud Softphone (e.g., when moving to another device), follow the instructions under Logging Out of Cloud Softphone.
